It has been two years since this started and now one of my childhood memories has been completed. Thanks TV Tokyo for reviving this classic with the quality it's well deserved. There were some dip in quality in some episodes but overall it's quite amazing and even better than most of the season anime.

It's hard to say good buy but, thanks everyone involved to make this project reality.

Ima wa Muri Nano • 1 year ago

more like "the legend of dai adventure" is probably written by pop, to tell the story of his adventure with the hero dai.

Dude this was a great ride for me from start to finish! I wish it kept going but good things must come to an end eventually! ಥ_ಥ

MegaRyuki • 1 year ago

Find a hero's journey with a development this good is like fishing with straws

strange guy • 1 year ago

Agreed

Synchro • 1 year ago

At the very end, that supposed to be an slightly older Dai. The author was setting up for a sequel but due to health problems and his hands, he wasn't able to make a sequel to this epic

Shadow Moon • 1 year ago

well, it got a spin off and prequel a couple years ago so the possibility of sequel being made still exists. hell, even gash/zatch bell has a sequel now

Synchro • 1 year ago

True, hopefully this gets a sequel soon

Aleste • 1 year ago

There was someone BIGGER than Vearn the entire time? And all we can do now is pray that Dai will return one day.

Funny thing: Riku Sanjo, the author of DnD, intended to continue the series after Vearn, with Velzar as the main villain. Tentatively called the "Underworld Arc", it would’ve been set five years after Vearn and have Dai assemble a new Dragon Legion consisting of Crocodine, Lahart, and a new character to fight against Velzar. But the health condition of Koji Inada, the artist of DnD, was very bad at that time. So Sanjo decided to end the manga with Vearn, and just tease a future conflict. Hence why Kill's fate is left unclear.

Sanjo and Inada-sensei are currently working on Beet the Vandal Buster, an original manga, although that has had its share of issues as well (the series went on hiatus for almost ten years). There's also an ongoing prequel manga about Avan's battles with Hadlar prior to the beginning of the series, which runs on Jump+. And Sanjo-sensei is also working on Fuuto Tantei, the manga sequel to Kamen Rider W which had an anime just a few weeks back. So maybe there will be a continuation? We don't know.

Alestyr • 1 year ago

I didnt know Beet was revived... any news on whether it will get an anime adaptation? I

...It already got one?

Alestyr • 1 year ago

Sure Beet the Vandal Buster, and then Excellion. But if they are still working on the Manga... I'd love to see the anime continue. That's what I was asking cause I didn't see anything recent online. And I didn't know they were continuing the Manga

Reizendo • 1 year ago

Thanks the infos.
Didn't know Sanjo was working on Beet. The later has striken me for some of the most brutal and ruthless battles for an anime this age, again the green angry bigshot vandel from the first part, and mainly the last boss on the flying fort at the end of the last aired anime. Duelling like two high tiered street thugs going at each other on some vendetta. Gotta watch it just for it.

The Gaming Pal Wolfang • 1 year ago

If Avan got a prequel and its being drawn by another artist, pretty good one btw, i think they should do the same for the sequel, find a talented artist and instruck him on what to do.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Indeed we will hope Dai will return.

strange guy • 1 year ago

This is the ending of the original one

Talos darkbane • 1 year ago

The evil referred to at the end is not bigger then Vearn he was actually equal to Vearn or maybe a little weaker. He was going to attack Vearn and steal the surface from him after he was weakened from the battle with the heroes.

LKin • 1 year ago

Velzar actually lost to to Vearn. And eventually was utterly defeated by Baran. And Vearn could fight Baran even in his weaker form. So he is not really stronger than Vearn.

Aleste • 1 year ago

I forgot about what happened to Velzar... It's been 100 episodes and I lost count.

Serif Mango • 1 year ago

No there wasn't if you had watched this show, you'd know that the other big bad was already defeated and sealed by Dai's father. He's weaker than Vearn and has already acknowledged that. He can do nothing.

Aleste • 1 year ago

Sorry, it's been 100 episodes in and I almost forgot about it...

WE FINALLY HERE!

Crimson • 1 year ago

Great ending 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
And thus ends one of the best and most epic non-seasonal anime of recent years. I’ll really miss watching this one every Saturday night 😢.
I really hope someone makes another non-seasonal masterpiece anime like this in the future 🙏🏻.

Azureink • 1 year ago

I'm gonna miss this show.

But man, 100 episodes was a fun ride.

LKin • 1 year ago

I'm sorry Leona but you lost to Popp.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

Indeed, Bros over Hoes!

Novone • 1 year ago

This was a lifesaver anime during covid shitfuckery and it went great for the most episodes. Riku Sanjo really knows how to build climax on climax.

arra1213 • 1 year ago

wonder what show will replace dai on its timeslot

Razashi Pillow • 1 year ago

Not a fan of the ending. Maam and Popp never resolve their romance. Other big bads are mentioned in some weird fake foreshadowing. The Killvearn reveal was pointless and anti-climactic. Dai being "gone" and not dead mysteriously at the end with no explanation and also being out of character for him to do so. The ending would have actually been ten times better if he just died in his last attack against Vearn.

Saitama • 1 year ago

Fun fact, this ain't the ending, much like berserk a writer had his problems and couldn't finish the manga, it was originally supposed to show fight against velzar as well. Tbh that arc would have been fire!

strange guy • 1 year ago

In the manga it is but sadly the author didn’t continue it

Yas Tokyo Tanaka • 1 year ago

He can't die yet because he has to fight and kill Frieza

vovan1 • 1 year ago

for 99th time!

Nemesis Claus • 1 year ago

They didnt resolve Dai and Fiona romance as well after she lip-kissed Dai in front of jail bars while he had amnesia

strange guy • 1 year ago

Pretty sure will hear dai’s voice as anya in spy family and the princess as Yor in spy family so while this anime is over pretty sure many will move on to that series

AlongCameSK • 1 year ago

guess what next on toei animation list dragon ball super will be return since dai is now over

kirihata • 1 year ago

I hope soo, there are rumors of DBS returning

Bob • 1 year ago

god damn what a fucking ride. 10/10

Started watching 2023/3/16
Finished 2023/3/29.

Almost two weeks, 3.2 hours a day. This shows how much I loved this series.

Even though it was full of nonsense, like, Killvearn could've just activated the bomb without revealing himself to them. That's a weird thing for an assassin to do. On the bright side, I'm happy they managed to explain his identity.

The best part about this series for me was watching the character grow, especially Popp. Dai not much.

Vearn's final transformation was so lame that I went to sleep after episode 99, but I will overlook that. I loved how the original series ended with son vs father, this epic encounter is ingrained in my childhood. Baran is still the coolest villain in my eyes and we've got to know more about him. Thank you Toei for remaking the series!

For an ending, it would've been waay waaay better if it ended with a timeskip showing Dai as an adult.

Will the humans persecute him? or will Dai change humanity?

And all the romance remained unsolved, except Avan's. A timeskip was needed :(

G.O.A.T KAGE • 1 year ago

Loved the series.
Thanks toie for such a good series....Will miss you Dai, Popp, Maam, Hunckle, Crocodine and Leona

After 2 years. It's finally complete

yash • 1 year ago

life is back to normal, what an amazing journey was that we hope to see you again dai.....

SirAkron • 1 year ago

Nice ending, I'd honestly be fine if this is the entire end and there's no more material. Knowing me I'm gonna google it right after I post this though lol.

Childe • 1 year ago

It's over guys. Our long journey has come to an end. And what a beautiful journey it was.

Supreme KING • 1 year ago

This final episode was everything it should be. Dai struggling against Vearn and facing despair of losing even after the sword and its power he inherited from his parents and then slashing Vearn with final blow and when we all thought its good a new problem appears and Dai sacrifices himself for the Human world and his friends. I honestly like the plot how it played out cus it gives us a bitter but sweet ending knowing that Dai is still somewhere out there. Cus if he just won and everything was fine then it would be too good of an ending. I really enjoyed this anime it really reminded me of DBZ on some parts then some of Naruto which I love.
